Mineral Rock Dust

Mineral Rock Dust 1kg is a carefully blended mix of material from rocks like Basalt Gypsum Lignite & Rock Phosphate that add trace elements to your soil
One kilogram of Mineral Rock Dust is great to buy as a sample to test on your garden or in a potted plant.
Preferably test it against the same plant or vegetable growing in a different place without Mineral Rock Dust added.
This way you can see the difference in the growth and health of the plants.

Spread 1kg of Mineral Rock Dust per linear meter and dig into the soil
2 kg per square meter
Mix 50 /50 with composted soil depending on your soil
Or make up a mixture with potting mix using only 10% of Mineral Rock Dust per quantity of potting mix

It is great around Australia native plants which can be sensitive to phosphorous as they have an extra root system to take up all available phosphorous in the soil.

Mineral Rock Dust does not contain everything you need to grow your plants and sometimes it is safer to use an all-around Soil Conditioner for your garden that has Rock Dust in it, as well as many more beneficial elements blended in a special way to supplement all plants.

1 kg or more can be added to any order of Compots
14kg bucket can be posted anytime or added to an order of Compots
20kgs can be posted anytime or added to an order of Compots

If ordering Compots it is cheaper to add 1kg of product to your order rather than buying it separately as the weight does not change the postage rate of your parcel. It is also cheaper postage wise to purchase a bucket or box of Garden Supplements with your order of Compots.

For larger quantities more than 20kg you will need to fill in a custom quote form. You might want to use this option to try several different products before buying larger quantities.

If for any reason you fell the postage to your area is excessive (and sometimes to remote areas it is) please email us or go to this link at Australia post – and see if the postage is better using the box dimensions and weight listed above, plus your area code and suburb and our area code and suburb (4005 New Farm).

General Info:

Mineral Rock Dust is a carefully blended mix of material from rocks like Basalt, Gypsum, Lignite & Rock Phosphate that add trace elements to your soil for growing most plants in your backyard or large scale production on a farm.

Depending on where the rock comes from or what has been mixed with it will depend on the benefit it has in our garden. Generally speaking, it is said to improve water holding capacity and reduce compaction of your soil.

The finer the particles the quicker it will break down though it is said to be like a slow release fertiliser.
Trace elements give back to the soil what has been lost through plant use and leaching. They are a good addition to your soil along with good compost and other garden supplements.
If you own a farm you really need to take a soil sample first to see what is lacking in our soil so you don’t overdo or underdo adding garden supplements. This is not practical for the backyard gardener so just follow the general rules of applying it to your garden.

14kg Buckets of Mineral Rock Dust are easy to post and store.

They are a bit on the heavy side in the bucket but the
bucket makes it easy to use as the powder is very fine and flies around if you are trying to remove it from a bag.
20kg Boxes are better for suburban homeowners if a larger quantity than 10gks is required.  But in my opinion, a 20kg bag or box is too heavy to carry. Please consider your age, health and back strength if ordering more than 10kgs.
Bags or tonnage can be purchased in larger quantities for crop farming or soil regeneration on farms by filling in a custom quote  or calling us on 07 3358 3716 or 0467 006 529
