Easy Compost Bin
The easy compost bin will transform your waste and your garden without the help of fertilizers. Compost ‘ALL’ your kitchen waste even doggie doos
Other compost bins are not like the Compot because you can fill the Compot with everything you produce in the kitchen.
Add paper towel you wipe your frypan with, tea bags, dairy, onions, oil, and chilies to name a few.
Remember to put your citrus or your pet waste in them as well.
Almost everything you can think of can be put in the easy compost bin as long as it is biodegradable.
Don’t put your pet waste in your veggie garden though.
We have always been told ‘what’ we can’t compost because it is harmful to worms.
But the Compot can compost ALL those things and more because it does not work on worms alone.
The Soldier Fly Larvae will do all the hard work inside the Compot while the worms work on the outside.
It is not common to find the Soldier Fly Larvae and worms in the pot at the same time.
But it can happen if most of the waste has gone and the worms have moved in to clean it up.
Why are five a good number?
With 5 Compots you can spread them around your garden and nourish many more areas without needing to keep digging holes
Five is good for a family of four but it’s also good for large gardens.
Even as a two-person household you might have a big backyard.
With five you can use one for just worm friendly food only to breed up worms.
Plus you can collect soil easily by rotating letting one sit for a few weeks.
It’s a personal choice but is good value for money if you have a largish family.
Just keep topping them up and they will look after themselves. Too easy!
Can the kids use it too?
As far as an easy compost bin goes this is too easy. You can’t go wrong.
The kids can use it too and learn a different way to compost – but it keeps toddlers out with the lockable lid?
And a 50 kg child can run across the Compot without damaging the pot.
It is especially easy for busy people who have little time to compost.
And remember you are helping the environment the more you compost.

The green Compots are made from virgin plastic material that should last you roughly 10 years plus in the garden. There are no harmful chemicals in this material and it should not break if you stand on the lid. The lid will usually push into the pot rather than break. If you hit it with a rotary hoe (as one customer did) it will no doubt get chopped up. The lid is designed to take the weight of a 50 Kg child who might run across it. I personally have jumped on them and the lid usually just pushes inside the Compot Base. The product is guaranteed for 2 years under normal circumstances, but it should last much longer than 2 years so you get many valuable years of use out of your Compots.
To post one Compot cost the same as three Compots (unless you live in Brisbane where the rates are generally less than most other areas) so consider the postage costs when you order to get the best value out of your post.
After 3 Compots it costs roughly the same to post up to 14 Compots depending on where you live. You can test different bundles for postage costs by entering your suburb details and requesting a quote. Just don’t follow through with the order. Try another bundle to compare postage costs, and then make your choice on the bundle you want. Or call us if you can’t work this out.
Please be aware of excessive postage as the program will charge you for every bundle you purchase if ordering two different bundles. This is easily resolved with a custom quote or by calling us. If you make a mistake with the postage we refund you the difference or you can top up your order with some garden supplements if it is a small amount.
If for any reason you feel the postage to your area is excessive (and sometimes it is too remote areas) please email us or go to this link at Australia post and check if the postage is better using the box dimensions and weight listed above, plus your area code and suburb, and our area code and suburb (4005 New Farm).

The Compot is a clever, easy to use direct compost solution designed to dispose of all your kitchen waste. It can be adapted to suit any size garden, either large or small. It is meant to make composting easy while nourishing your garden without the usual hard work that composting requires.
The design of the Compot allows you to fill it with all your kitchen waste including meat, citrus, onions, oil, dairy and basically anything biodegradable including animal waste without needing to chop it up into little pieces like you have to do with worm composting. And you don’t have to keep digging holes unless of course, you want to move them around your garden every 6 months or so. But that is more work.
And all you have to do is keep topping it up or refilling it whenever you have any waste. There is no need to wait for everything to decompose. Just toss more waste on top of the old waste, lock on the lid and cover with anything but dirt.
Simply…Fill… Forget… Refill.
Ideally, plant a few around your garden and rotate filling them. By the time you get back to the first one, it will be well and truly ready to take more of your waste.
Plus it is super easy to harvest soil if you want to use the soil for your potted plants.
Just let one sit for 4 to 6 weeks without topping it up and it will turn into beautiful rich composted soil that is easy to scoop out with your hand or a trowel.
If you don’t like filling them with everything from your kitchen you can choose to fill them with just worm friendly food only. The choice is yours. Work out what works best for you.
